about
We, the Wurundjeri people (Woi-wurrung language group), are the Traditional Custodians of Melbourne and surrounding lands. We have cared for Country since Bunjil, the great Eagle and Balliyang the bat, created our land and people. We proudly continue to care for our Country, practice our culture, and welcome all people visiting our lands.

School Group Experience (25+ students)
Monday to Friday by appointment
Students will experience a Wurundjeri guided tour of the Margaret Leister Trail and also participate in indigenous activities including the crushing of ochre, emu feather art, hand printing, colourings with charcoal and an artefact display.
Experience Tanderrum
Participate in the ancient tradition of Tanderrum – a ceremony to welcome guests to Country. By walking through sacred smoke and accepting our hospitality, you agree to care for Country, respect the land, the lore, and us, the children of Bunjil, during your stay.
Connect with Story
Glimpse the traditional lifestyle of our Ancestors. Learn about the rhythms, rituals and relationships between people and place. Come to know our cultural values and the great leaders who continue to guide us such as Wonga and Barak.
Connect with Country
Heighten your senses and open your heart to Country. Come and see, smell, taste, touch and hear the music of Country. Learn about our lore, traditional foods, fibres and our special use plants and animals.
The Bullen Bullen Cultural Tours are operated by the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung Cultural Heritage Aboriginal Corporation. Our organisation is proud to provide traineeships and employment opportunities on Country for our mob. By supporting our tours, you’re helping us to maintain cultural practice and strengthen our mob.
